A MUM has made a desperate appeal for the return of her daughter’s beloved pet bird.
Vici Bowen, of Newton, in Mumbles, said the animal escaped from its cage on Sunday afternoon.
It is a 1-year-old peach-faced lovebird named Roxy and is green in colour.
Mrs Bowen, 39, said the bird had been spotted in Langland Bay yesterday morning.
“The lovebird was an 18th birthday present for my daughter,” she added. MISSING Roxy owned Bowen, of “My 2-year-old daughter let it out of the cage in our back garden, and we did not have much hope of seeing it again.
“However, we phoned the bird hospital in Pennard, and we were told that they had received a report of a peach-faced lovebird at Langland.
“We are quite worried for its health because it can only survive on certain types of seed.
